If you are a Kevin Sorbo fan, you will LOVE his book. And even if you aren't a fan, his story is truly inspiring about overcoming challenges that we face in life, a story anyone can relate to. I remember hearing about his health challenges years ago, but there was very little detail about what was actually "wrong". I had NO idea of how difficult it was for him during that time. After reading this book I was amazed he could continue to do the show for another few years after that. I had no idea, but then no one really did except some of the people on the show. He is truly a hero in the sense of how does a person move forward in their life when all is forever changed and turned upside down in their world? How does a person become more loving, accepting and gentle towards themselves when they are no longer the person they used to be on a physical level? How does a person surrender to the unknown and trust that everything is meant to be the way it's supposed to be and that everything happens for a reason? And how does a person allow themselves to accept support from people around them when they are so used to being strong all the time and being perceived to be so? This is a powerful story of one person that asks and mostly answers these questions. Thank you Kevin Sorbo.
Unexpectedly good account by Sorbo of the health problems that have been part of his life since a series of strokes during his run in the Hercules series. He's matter of fact about the process he went through, the way it changed him, and the influence it's had on his marriage and career.
