"Though the Greek and Roman crewmembers of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen — all of them — and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood — the blood of Olympus — in order to wake. The demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it "might" be able to stop a war between the two camps. The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea's army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option. They have sacrificed too much already. And if Gaea wakes, it is game over."--

What I don't get is why everyone's soooo enamored with Soloangelo, We forget about the perfectly cannon Reynico. I ship Reynico and I don't care, People.
Also, SPQR has NO VERB. Cheap. You could've used "Venimus, Vidimus, Vicimus" We came, we saw, we conquered....
But, NOOOO. You had to use a PHRASE.

Hands down, one of the best book series I’ve ever read!! The characters in this series are all 3-Dimensional, they aren’t all perfect -they’re human beings. It just goes to show that everyone has problems and no one is flawless. I would recommend reading the original series- Percy Jackson and the Olympians- for some backstory though, because their are many references throughout Heroes of Olympus. All in all, Amazing!!

ok, so Percy Jackson's initials are PJ, Annabeth Chase's initial's are AC, Nico diAngelo's are NA, and Piper McLean's are PM. Riordan! What's up?

This book was a very exciting book about the 7 demigods going on the quest to stop Gaea from waking, and Coach Hedge, Reyna, and Nico trying to return the Athena Parthenos. On the way they encounter monsters and more, but continue. I would recommend this for anyone 12-18, because there is lots of things not suitable any younger, and any older it might be boring. I found this book entertaining and fun, and I would enjoy to read it again.

This book has magic and mythical creatures in it. I like to learn about the Greek myths and monsters in modern times using cell phones and listening to iTunes. - Won, age 11

Wow. Just wow. “The Blood of Olympus” was an incredible ending to a fascinating series. “The Blood of Olympus” was the finale to all the suspense that built up in the four books before. This novel was definitely more dramatic as there was more at stake. My expectations were reached. I understand that although this may not be the highest level of quality, Rick Riordan had to end the series in some way. I felt like this book didn’t include much of Percy, Annabeth, Frank, and Hazel. They felt more like side characters in comparison of Jason, Piper and Leo. Being the final book of the series, I thought all seven demigods points of view would be consistently shown throughout the book. However, it surprised me that Nico and Reyna had points of view but I got a deeper understanding of their characters and they also formed an unlikely friendship. Overall, this series was amazing and I would absolutely recommend reading “The Blood of Olympus”. 5/5 stars.

This is an absolutely amazing finale to The Heroes of Olympus! It includes so much, yet the perfect amount so that the readers do not feel overwhelmed. Even if they do, it would be in a good way. I am so glad that after reading this, it was informed that there would be more mythology coming out that talks about some characters and what happened after! Just a suggestion, but readers should go read about Magnus Bane, before they continue with the Trials of Apollo. This may make the transition a bit less forced and more natural, in reference to time. I really truly wholeheartedly ship Percabeth, I really do. 5/5 Stars.

There is no doubt that the day this book was released, the stores were packed because everyone wanted to take a grab at the final novel about our favourite demigods. Honestly speaking, I liked the way this book was written and the storyline was not bad. It didn’t feel like things were getting wrapped up too quickly; Riordan keeps his winning style throughout the entire series and it was evident in this book. The only thing that is missing would be Percy and Annabeth’s perspectives, but I can see why the author chose to dismiss them this one time, considering we have heard from them since The Lightning Thief. But I still think it would be nice to see at least one of their perspectives because they have just returned from Tartarus and there isn’t a lot we have gotten from them since then. Overall, Riordan highlighted a lot on Leo Valdez in this book but you can see that Piper, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Percy and Annabeth all are a crucial backbone for this book. An action packed read! 5/5

This book (and series) were absolutely incredible! Great story line with lots of plot twists and a fun way to learn about the greek and roman. Cool way of taking something as old as mythology and giving it it's own twist, with lots of easily lovable characters. A very addictive read, loved these books so much! Still can't get over the massive cliff hanger at the end of the book... <3

Nico had once read a story from Plato, who claimed that in the ancient times, all humans had been a combination of male and female. Each person had two heads, four arms, four legs. Supposedly, these combo-humans had been so powerful they made the gods uneasy, so Zeus split them in half - man and woman. Every since, humans felt incomplete. They spent their lives searching for their other halves.
And where does that leave me? Nico wondered.
It wasn't his favorite story.
