The further along in the book I got, the more and more I lost any sympathy for the author. Her repeated assertions she was not suffering from any type of addiction or alcohol abuse, despite hindsight being 20/20 were exasperating, and give false hope to any young girl reading this book thinking they too can quit an addiction simply by deciding to live the 'good life' instead of seeking professional help
