"Phillip Fry is a 25-year-old pizza delivery boy whose life is going nowhere. When he accidentally freezes himself on December 31, 1999, he wakes up 1,000 years in the future and has a chance to make a fresh start. He goes to work for the Planet Express Corporation, a futuristic delivery service that transports packages to all five quadrants of the universe. His companions include the delivery ship's captain, Leela, a beautiful one-eyed female alien who kicks some serious butt, and Bender, a robot with very human flaws."--IMDb.

I was always more into Simpsons, South Park, etc, but I think Futurama may now be my favorite modern cartoon.
This show takes the best aspects of Star Trek (go anywhere, do anything), combines it with Animation (no limits), and fills it all with humor.
After watching a couple complete Futurama seasons, I came to like the show much more. But the characters aren't quite as developed as on the Simpsons, not in Season 1 anyway.

Witty animated science fiction satire about a New York City pizza delivery guy named Fry who is accidentally cryogenically frozen on New Year's Eve 1999 and, after thawing out on New Year's Eve 2999, he finds a job at his great (x30) nephew Professor Farnsworth's interplanetary delivery company.

Careful, this disc has a lot of scratches and may not play in all DVD players.

Enjoyable series. A different kind of funny compared to Simpsons and Family Guy

Can be odd and random but also very funny. Similar to the Simpsons and Family Guy.

I think the Simpsons is funnier.
