Original.
Collado-Scharz is the founder and chairman of the cultural non-government organization Fundación Voz del Centro, and producer and host of the radio program La Voz del Centro. Here he presents an English edition of SoveranÃas Exitosas: Seis Modelos para el Desarrollo Económico de Puerto Rico (2008, 2010) which advocates independence for the Caribbean island that has been a US colony since the Spanish American War in 1898. It incorporates radio interviews with two prominent economists aired by Univision Radio in Puerto Rico and New York in 2007. Tables provide statistics updated to December 2011. They describe how six countries about the same size and population as Puerto Rico manage economically, undermining arguments that Puerto Rico is too small to govern itself.
