From Library Staff

Some books WANT you to get up and wiggle! Eric Carle invites children to act out familiar and exotic animal movements, but the book's pace and repetition keep things from getting too wild. Unless you WANT them wild, of course! :)

A great book to get kids moving!

This is always a good book at storytime and the kids love moving like the animals. The children like to extend the activities by shuffling like penguins and jumping like frogs. Ensure there is space for movement if you are doing public reading!

My 2.5 year old loves this book. Great for getting him moving and learning about his body.

A great book with one child or a group of children where they can join in on the actuions that the animals are doing in the story. Recommend for storytimes, and specifically 2-5 year olds.
