John Dean Testifies Before the Watergate Committee Ca. 1973

Unknown - 1973
Rate this:
John Dean, a former lawyer in the Nixon White House, testified before the Senate that he helped coordinate a cover-up of the Nixon Administration's involvement in a break-in of Democratic Party headquarters in Washington, D.C. During these hearings, Dean emerged as the first witness to accuse Nixon of complicity and involvement in the cover-up. He also provided the committee with 47 documents that demonstrated how the administration planned to use the powers of the federal government to harass those it saw as enemies. Dean later served a prison sentence for his involvement in the Watergate affair.
