Book News
According to von Laer (former director of the Trauma Division at the Basel Pediatric Hospital in Basel, Switzerland), treatment of pediatric fractures and dislocations has, for the most part, involved the experience and indications from adult trauma management applied to children. Basing his work on clinical studies conducted with children, he provides a medical textbook on the treatment and management of pediatric broken bones. Most chapters discuss the management of specific injuries, but the author does include introductory material on general science, treatment, and clinical considerations.
