A gentle reminder for young readers to engage in healthy living, and "unplug" in order to make time for the world of outside play.

A very cute picture book about a robot named Blip and her adventures away from her screen. I loved this book, as did my eight year old, and it gets extra points for:

1. The robot protagonist is a girl.
2. It doesn't demonize screen time to promote unplugged time. Technology can be good, unplugged time can be good. Balance and variety of experience is what's important.

A great reminder that we need to get our kids outside more often and into the real world instead of spending all their time in front of a screen. Loved how the world changed to color once the main character found itself outside!

I loved this book! In today's world, I rarely see children outside playing, enjoying the day, or exploring - they're always cooped up inside on their devices, playing video games, glued to their iPads, or texting their friends. Sometimes, you need to "unplug" yourself and get outside, experience the world and remove yourself from all things technology. It's a big world out there and it can be just as fun and just as exciting as any video game.
