A beautiful story of remembering the magic grandparents share with their grand-kids. A boy goes on an adventure through the stories his grandfather would tell. The illustrations are full of wonder, and wordless pages allow the opportunity to create a story of your own.

The illustrations were imaginative and always had you looking to explore each page. Unfortunately, I felt like the story was lacking and I'm really not sure I can go back to explain what it was about or where the author was going with this tale.

What lush vibrant images greet the reader in this whimsical picture book! The Fan Brothers pay tribute to grief and imagination in this warm story of a little boy remembering his beloved grandfather by building a boat and sailing off into a marine NeverOzWonderland.

A beautiful story with exquisite illustrations, that also can be helpful for talking about loss with young children in a way that isn’t scary or specific to a particular religious tradition.

Beautiful, amazing illustrations and a wonderfully touching story. I checked this one out because the authors' previous book, The Night Gardener, was so gorgeous. The brothers Fan don't disappoint with this book either. Lushly illustrated fantastical voyage I wish I could take, too. Another art-inspiring book for me.

When a child dreams and uses their imagination, they can be anything and go anywhere. This young boy named Finn has recently lost his grandfather. His grandfather taught him about the sea and they both loved it. He would tell him stories about how the ocean meets the sky. To honor his grandfather Finn built a boat. He was tired and rested for a moment. It was then that his boat took him on a journey. He met a large golden fish, visited the Library Islands and explored an island that was home to giant sea shells. Do you think this was the place his grandfather spoke of?

The Fan Brothers have been creating for a while. This story will take children on a magical journey. The illustrations are soft and beautifully artful. Children will be engaged with this story that is perfect for a bedtime story. Easy to read sentences make this a great read for any beginner. Parents and teachers will love sharing this story and discuss with readers what they could imagine when the ocean meets the sky.
