An excellent resource for parents and educators on many undetected or "mislabeled" learning disabilities. It is a big book full of information on PDD-NOS, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Audio-Processing disorder, and many more other difficulties that some young children and some adults face as they try to develop their reading and writing and communication skills. Is your child struggling? Have a look at the various symptoms of these difficulties. It could be what she or he is dealing with. Brock Eide not only lists the symptoms and describes the difficulties a person has with these disorders, but provides helpful strategies to aid in the learning process. There is also a chapter on teaching gifted children.
