A fast-paced and inventive thriller. The main characters are convincingly drawn and the story at the heart of the book is an intriguing one. However, the identity of the killer is hinted at early on (though not the motive), and before long some heavy-handed clues leave one in little doubt how things will turn out. An entertaining read, but a bit more subtlety would have been nice.

Abrahams is a fantastic writer of mystery books - I've not yet been disappointed.
