This is the first book I've ever read on nutritional information and I'm hooked. There was so much insight into my bad habits of the past and helped me get past the short term thinking of losing weight or inches; she helped me think about my health and the ramifications of my food choices in the longer term and more important consequences. There is a lot of medical information in here so this is not a quick read if you want to retain it all and are new to how hormones work. She breaks it down and explains it simply, but still, a lot to take in at once. One side note - I do find some of her information conflicting with what she represents. She says in some parts of the book to eat full fat cheese, milk, etc. but just less of it because our bodies know how to naturally process it vs. the chemically altered fat free items. However, she is extremely affiliated with the Biggest Loser and they do promote a lot of fat free, chemically ridden food products to minimize calories. Just make sure you take some of her suggestions with a grain of salt.
