I loved this maniacal post-modern romp through pop culture references and horror. This is a love letter and a relentless mockery of all things Scooby-Doo. Add in all kinds of other references to all kinds of other things, often within the same breathless sentence, and you end up with a strange, hilarious conglomeration of nonsense. And within that nonsense is a great story about facing your fears and friendship and loss and recovery and ptsd and romance and forgiveness. This book grabs hold of every nostalgic feeling you could dare name and lovingly flips it over. It dances around the English language, making it run rings up and down the book's spine. It's flabbergasting and delicious. (But please be aware, it's NOT a children's book; the content and language is pretty sharp.)
