An early book by one of my favourite authors, Scott Turow. A terrific courtroom drama with many twists until the end. Great characterisations and storytelling. The "sequel", Innocent, followed many years later with most of the same characters. I thought it was even a better mystery than the first. Most of his books are worth reading since they elevate the courtroom genre to a whole new level. One exception: The Laws of Our Fathers; much too long and too much backstory. The trial is only a small part of the story but the best part.
