Featured: Diwali

Diwali, also called Deepavali (दीपावली), is the festival of lights celebrated by many people of Indian and South Asian descent throughout the world every October or November. The name "Deepavali" comes from two Sanskrit words: "deepa" (दीप), meaning lamp, and "vali" (वली), meaning row, meaning "a row of lights. In 2025, Diwali begins on Monday, October 20, with celebrations continuing into Tuesday, October 21.
